Purpose
"Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:" 1 Timothy 1:5
1. TO GIVE OUT THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
The truth of the matter is this: the world stands guilty before God. Our sin has caused us to suffer death and separation from God. There are people who have never heard of Jesus Christ, both around the world and here in our own neighborhoods.
We are commanded in Matthew 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

2. TO DISCIPLE THE NEW BELIEVERS
It is the responsibility of the church to teach the commandments of Jesus to new believers. Matthew 28:20 goes on to say, "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Following the example of Jesus sets a new path of life for a new Christian. He is our power to live the Christian life.
3. TO ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER
Hebrews 10:23-24 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works."
As Christians, we draw encouragement from each other by meeting together regularly for prayer, preaching, singing and fellowship.

4. TO TEACH BIBLICAL DOCTRINE THAT GLORIFIES GOD
In order to stay true to the doctrines of salvation, baptism, and Biblical practices, we teach directly from the KJV Bible. We find in Hebrews 4:12, "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Only a life lived God's way will bring blessing and peace in the Christian's life.
